The New Honk App
What do you think about an app that could find your parking spot when you forget where you parked? Do you think people would actually download it and use it? Basically, how it works is you swipe your finger on a scale to set how long you plan on parking for and the app records the location where you parked. Then as time ticks by, it will notify you through honking that your time is almost up so you have enough time to get back before you get a ticket! How accurate do you think it is and would you personally use this? Let me know!

ReplyDeleteI tink this is a great concept, especially for people who live in the city! Once I move away from Athens, I would def use the app so I don't encounter any more parking tickets.
It's just another app that is making our lives easy, but at the same time.. is it making it too easy where we don't even have to remember things like where we parked? Hmm.
I think this could be a good or bad thing..it depends how far away from your car because you still might not hear it honking at you. But for someone like me who usually is only a little ways up the street studying and often forgets to look at the time, I think I would probably download it if it was free or pretty cheap. I always forget that I paid for parking and I often forget what time my parking pass ends, so it would probably help me out.
ReplyDeleteI would use this app! It would have really come in handy freshman year when I would always park in a different place, on a different level in the parking deck. But even now, parking downtown or at the mall, it would still be really useful. Plus, you could possibly use it for other things as well. For example, if you were in a new city, you could set it while at your hotel and then you would always be able to find your way back. Or, at a huge field concert, you could set it to where your friends are and then be able to find them later. More than anything though, I wish I could come up with an app like this!
ReplyDeleteI think this is such a neat concept! I know I always try and do the math and set alarms on my phone so I don't forget to feed the meter. I have definitely forgotten to feed the meter and gotten a ticket. I think this is a cool new way to integrate your smart phone with your everyday tasks.
ReplyDeleteI would for sure use the part where it tells you where to park! With a small car like mine, it is easy to lose!
